Press ReleaseFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:CONTACT: Dealer Software Associates Announces New DSAQuickQuote ApplicationFranklin, TN, 4/17/2008 - Dealer Software Associates (DSA) announced that it has begun design and development of a new application to help agricultural and construction equipment dealers provide fast, accurate, and repeatable quotes for their customer. The new application, DSAQuickQuote, will allow dealers to enter information, and will use on-line cost databases to put a quote together. When the client agrees to the terms of the quote, the quote then becomes the basis for an invoice, automatically and seamlessly integrating with DSA's upcoming product offering, DSApartsNet. DSApartsNet is a rewrite of and replacement for DSAparts, the current application suite that includes Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Wholegoods Inventory, and much more. To write up quotes, many of DSA's customers use their own manual system that is slow and prone to error. For example, the quote-writer must use parts and equipment books, look up what the customer wants manually, and then tote up a cost on a hand calculator. They then write the quote by hand, and file it manually. Any special deals included in the quote are on the paper copy, and may or may not be transferred into a final invoice. DSAQuickQuote eliminates all manual lookup and calculations, and the resulting quote becomes the basis for the customer's invoice. DSA Founder and President Joyce Itin said that some of her customers have begged for a quick quote system. "They are spending literally hours on a single quote. They feel somewhat embarrassed when they present a hand-written quote to a customer; it just doesn't look professional," said Itin. As a result, she has made the design and development of DSAQuickQuote a priority for DSA. To help with the project, she asked John Hampton, who brings thirty years' programming experience and a Master of Computer Science degree to the table. Work on DSAQuickQuote is ongoing and is expected to be completed by Q3 of 2008. DSAQuickQuote should be available to new and current customers by Q4 of 2008.
