Press ReleaseFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:CONTACT: Dealer Software Associates Announces Major Upgrade to DSAparts ApplicationFranklin, TN, 3/27/2008 - Dealer Software Associates (DSA) announced that it has begun a major upgrade of its DSAparts application suite for agricultural and construction equipment dealers. DSAparts provides dealers with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Wholegoods Inventory, inventory control, general ledger, customer history, sales history, payroll, and point-of-sale modules. DSAparts is currently based on older technologies; a significant reason for the upgrade is to take advantage of newer technologies that are proven to be reliable and easier to use. DSA President and Founder Joyce Itin said, "My clients told me that they wanted a better, updated user interface, and more functionality. It was a lot easier to start fresh with up-to-date technology than to reprogram the current system." The new system is called "DSApartsNet", and will have a look and feel much more like the standard Windows interface than the current text-based DSAparts application. To help with writing DSApartsNet, Itin asked John Hampton, who brings thirty years' programming experience and a Master of Computer Science degree to the project. "I feel very positive about working with Joyce and Bill Tindall [DSA partner]. Their years of experience in the dealer software field and having a successful product, and my programming skills are a perfect match to bring out an application suite that will be easier to use, improve, and maintain," said Hampton. Itin added, "We're delighted to have John as a resource on this project." Work on DSApartsNet is ongoing and is expected to be completed by Q4 of 2008.
